MAMA: Electricity

Throughout this entrancing video, Electricity, a track from her forthcoming solo album MAMA exalts being existentially trapped in some kind of misery by virtue of love or guilt represented by the atmospheric first two thirds of this song which is layered with guitar reverb and slight synths all punctuated by an almost tribal bass.

MAMA blames the electricity for her desire, her dependency which is so powerful that she aches for acceptance, promising her loyalty. The electricity appears to be connection between this world and reality and as the track comes to its crescendo the piercing sonic flirtations channel a neurological link that sweeps and stabs crashing like a sugar rush to an sudden end.
